Uniondale F.D. Signal 10 Larboard Court 4/9/23

The Uniondale Fire Department was called to a reported house fire on Larboard Court about 01:40 on April 9, 2023. First arriving units had fire showing from the rear of a two story home that was extending to the second floor. Ladder 7544 arrived first and set up in front of the house, that crew began laddering, venting and searching the home. 752 was the first due Engine and had a hydrant across from the house. The Engine crews stretched and operated at least two lines to extinguish the fire and bring it under control in about an hour with no reported injuries. Mutual aid to the scene was provided by the Hempstead Fire Department for a FAST Truck, the Roosevelt Fire Department for an Engine, the North Bellmore Fire Department for a Working Truck, the Freeport Fire Department for an Engine and additional Ladder and the West Hempstead Fire Department for a FAST Truck when Hempstead was put to work. First Assistant Chief Ellerbe was in charge of the scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
